Lake County has recently seen two brothers detained by ICE.
Their families are struggling to adapt in their absence. Our Lake Response Network is actively helping the two families who recently had their husbands/fathers/breadwinners taken by ICE in Lower Lake.
To help, and sadly because there may be more families impacted in the future, LRN is spearheading a campaign to acquire gift cards to help the families left behind. We invite people who wish to help to purchase gift cards from these businesses:
- Safeway
- Grocery Outlet
- Foods, Etc.
- Leidy’s Shop in Clearlake
- Amazon
- Marshalls
- ARCO gas
Purchasing separate individual cards in amounts ranging from $20 to $50 are more useful than donating one large amount gift card. These cards will be given to families who have a need, and more smaller quantity cards provides needed flexibility.

LRN is an organization of Lake County residents whose goal is to support members of our community who may be targets of ICE. LRN provides Know Your Rights information, has trained Responders who are prepared to respond in case of ICE presence, and supports families impacted by ICE actions in Lake County.
