On October 19, 2026 Lake County Democratic Central Committee provided a nonpartisan Community Forum on Medi-Cal, CalFresh, and the Local Impact of Federal Budget Changes. It was an informational Zoom webinar examining how HR 1, the recently enacted federal budget law, may affect residents of Lake County. This non-campaign educational forum focused on the two programs that touch the greatest number of local households: Medi-Cal and CalFresh.
