Lake Response Network — Lake County’s Response to ICE/Border Patrol

By LRN, August 20, 2025

Lake Response Network (LRN) was organized by Lake County residents to respond to reports of ICE/Border Patrol presence in Lake County. LRN is working with NorCal Resist to provide a Hotline to report possible ICE/Border Patrol sightings and to mobilize local response teams. NorCal Resist manages the Hotline.

LRN is also working with Lake County residents to distribute Know Your Rights cards and to show up to witness and support immigrants who may be targets.

Trained local Responders are located in every community of Lake County and will rapidly respond to calls received by the Hotline of possible sightings/ICE presence. Trained Responders will be dispatched to the reported sighting; Responders are trained to observe, record, and verify if there is an actual ICE presence or not. Goals are to reassure our immigrant community and verify if a sighting is valid, and to have many concerned people show up to witness an actual ICE/Border Patrol presence here in Lake County.

If ICE/Border Patrol is actually targeting people in Lake County, LRN will immediately notify “ally” groups who will be sent to the location to provide a peaceful presence, witness, and show support for anyone who is being targeted by ICE/Border Patrol. Guidelines for how to witness an ICE/Border Patrol presence in our county are available for anyone who plans to show up and provide support.
