John has served on the County Planning Commission since 2016, and also serves as a Board member for the local nonprofit Hammers for Hope, donating his time alongside others who believe in neighbors helping neighbors. Lake County Fair - August 29th - Sept 21, 2024
The Lake County Fair is one of the best venues for sharing our values, registering voters and getting the word out that Democrats are active in Lake County. The booth receives hundreds of visitors each year. People stop by to offer encouragement, to seek information, and to participate in our popular straw polls. Volunteers are provided with orientation and written materials that make the job go smoothly.
It takes about 50 volunteers to set up, staff and take down the both each year. A three-hour shift is a typical commitment. We hope that you will sign up to be one of those volunteers. Our theme this year is “Everyone Is Welcome. Everyone Belongs.” Come be a part of this important venue. A pass for entry is provided to volunteers.
